It is possible and easy to make slime without these ingredients using cornstarch instead. Following are the method which will teach you how to make silly putty without borax.
Arrange for following items before start.- Casserole
- Bowl
- Large Zip Lock Bag
- Stove
- A portion of the water
- Two parts cornstarch
- Food Coloring
Step 1: Making Slime Take Hot water in a saucepan. Do not put water to boil it should be Warm water in the pan. The purpose of heating water is to keep the cornstarch from clumping together.
Step 2: Add food coloring to water Once you have warm water, pour into bowl and add food coloring. The color is a matter of personal choice and a few drops are all that is necessary. Children can become really creative here. Color should be mixed completely. However, remember that starch will make the color light so if you want deep color then add some more food color in the warm water.
Step 3: Adding cornstarch Add cornstarch a little at a time while stiring it slow and steady.
Step 4: Combining the slime Stir the mixture until smooth. It's okay to use fingers for this step!
Step 5: Too much liquid? If you find the mixture too much liquid then add some starch amd alternatively add some hot water if you find the mixture too thick.
Step 6: Storage in a zip-closing bag Store the mixture Slime in a zip-closing bag
Keep the jar in a bag with zip closure to ensure it stays moist.
